Russian Tea Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 + 1/4 cup (310gr) flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup (224 grams) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup (115 grams) powdered sugar
  • 3/4 cup nuts ( almond, pecan, or walnuts) ground to granules
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
Instruction
  1. Toast nuts, but not burn. Grind in a mill or a blender until they become granules.
     
  2. Cream butter and sugar.
       
  3. Add vanilla, flour, salt and nuts; mix well.

      
  4. Dough should be a little dry . Take 2 tablespoons of batter and form it into quater size balls .

     
  5. Place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes.

     
  6. When cooled, sprinkle powder sugar.
